Rebeca Plana’s Colastros Series is inspired by the experiences that Rebeca Plana shared in the studio of the great Valencian painter Juan Genovés. Based on unique works painted on canvas on 4 different backgrounds, it is referenced as follows: The letter «B» refers to each of backgrounds, letter «A» refer to the intervention, and letter «S» refer size [Small/Big], making each piece different and unique. The backgrounds are fragments of the artwork «Con Alma & United» [Rebeca Plana 2018] that was chosen by the multinational Warner for the cover of the album, titled with the same name of the artwork, by jazz guitarist Ximo Tebar. The acquisition of these artworks includes one free NFT [1/1], and one Print of the artwork «Con Alma & United» [36×28 cm], high resolution, numbered and hand-signed by the artist.

The concretion of the abstract

[…] To finish, I want to mention the lines that illustrate the cover and the arts of the CD, and that expand along the spine and back cover of this: they are fragments of the large-format canvas in mixed media by the painter from Albalat de la Ribera Rebeca Plana made for the occasion and titled the same as the CD. Rebeca is positioned within an abstraction 2.0, although the name of the dog that barks at the end of the first cut of the CD: Pollock, makes us think perhaps of an abstract expressionism, in this case, as in the entire series «Matalás» through large blocks of color contrast. The energy of the broken lines, the constructivism and the light emanating from its colorful contrasts take us back to the, in principle, so different aesthetics of the guitarist, but possessing, deep down, although not in the form, an expressionism that emanates from the same place, the concretion of the abstract: musicality and rhythm…
